Kali. Goddess of destruction
Can anyone relate to this painting right now?
Reading the news these days..all the discord and lack of respect...lack of unity... makes me feel like sticking my tongue out at.the world.
In the hindi religion Kali is the great destroyer. Instead of being viewed as the evil one she is admired and seen as a necessary part of creation.
Although it's painful to see something you've worked hard on destroyed... sometimes it is necessary process. It teaches us to see how we are attached to things remaining the "same as always" and then to practice "letting go" . It also enables us to rebuild better.I guess what's happening in our world must be necessary on some level because indeed, there seems to be nothing that can hold it back. Who sings that song, "you don't know what you've got til it's gone..pave paradise.. put up a parking lot".. joni Mitchell?
It's clear to me that I really didn't appreciate what we had before 2016.... and then covid happened. But, I'm learning more about politics than I ever cared to.know and now that I know, I hope i get a chance to run for office. I'm kidding.
but .....I'm very interested in aiding the Peace process within each individual. Perhaps you too yearn for more peace in your body....in your world?
To that end, I'm adding a new ONLINE class: yoga with meditation . 10am til 11:15 on Friday and Sat morning . Starting Fri/Sat November 21 and 22. Running for a trial period of 3 weeks to start. Perhaps the last class can be an in person class where we can meet each other? My in-person classes are at Peace Church in Shoreview. Check out class days and times at bodymindcircle.com
. Thru the 1st weekend of Dec.. your investment is $20 for one class, 18 each of you pay for 2, and 16 for 3 or more. Just email me the dates you want to.attend and I'll send you my venmo, zelle or PayPal.
