Locations :  All classes (except thurs 12:30) are held at Peace United Methodist Church in Shoreview. 5050 Hodgeson Road. just a bit north of hwy 96.

   For those wanting a private lesson in Yoga or Pilates, I also have a space in Spring Lake Park. On Old hwy 10 south frontage road, just east of Central 


  hiyala’s sessions run for 2 months:       Jan -Feb,  Mar+April, May+June, July+ Aug,Sept+Oct,  Nov+ dec,

 Cost: new student special :  3/$30 .  if you decide to continue (we think you will) it is encouraged  that you sign up and pay  for the rest of the session .

Discounted price offered if you pay for the entire session one week in advance of the start date cost is $16/class
or $14/class for seniors and those with “life circumstances” where income is limited and yoga is really going to help “bear the burden” .
New!   Payment for the entire two month session allows you to attend unlimited yoga classes (does not include pilates which is a separate payment). 

Passes allow for more flexibility. (If you are unable to commit to attending the same class each week)
use your pass within 4 months. Cost is $180 for 10 classes.

Hiyala’s  Level 1 Yoga.  Sign up if you’ve had at least 3 previous classes or 1 – 2 private  sessions with hiyala first)

Thurs pm Yoga Meditation.  This is an evening class. More emphasis ( than the other classes) on meditation and quieting the nervous system. Outdoors at the Dock in Circle pines on the 3rd Thurs of each month june-sept. 

Tues am Yoga studies.  This class includes more information on the philosophical aspects of yoga as a study of Self as well as pranayama and meditation. Must have at least 8 weeks of prior instruction. Outdoors at dock in Circle Pines the last Tuesdays  of the summer months: June , July, Aug and Sept. 

Semi private Pilates:  Thursdays from 10-11am.   Exercises that focus on strengthening the abs, but the arms and legs also get toned ! This class is great for people with back problems and for those with knee issues as most of the exercises are done on our backs or in seated position.  We also use the big pysio balls , pilates rings and resistance bands.. Pilates students pay per month $18/class x 4. (limited to 6 students).

Very Beginning. Thursday 5-6pm
Tues 4:45-5:45  and Sat am from 8-9:15 are semi-private.  These classes will begin when there are at least 4 students -limited to 8 people.$20/class per person.  Especially good for those who are  with injuries/stiffness & needing to go  slow.  Learn proper alignment in poses.  Learn how to make the poses work for you using props such as blocks, straps and chairs.  If you would like to ease into a continuing level class you will need to attend  2-3  of these sessions.

Family Yoga!!:  suitable for children ages 4+ and their parents/grandparents.  

Teen yoga:  In addition to being a great exercise which helps you improve your confidence, yoga can help you learn how to stay calm, how to focus and succeed in school. please let us know of your interest

 Awaken with Yoga: (summer on the dock in Circle Pines)   Thurs, 7-8am. We will start out slow and easy, working into sun salutes.  pls pre-register with intention to attend 4 consecutive weeks.

Laughter Yoga  (call to indicate your interest in this class or to schedule for your group):  Although we stretch some, and practice some breathing exercises, our abdominals and facial muscles get a good workout in this class.

Therapeutic yoga workshops. Different topics such as yoga for knees, yoga for backs, yoga for pain relief.

Please sign up, call or email in advance to reserve your space. Classes only run if there are enough people signed up in advance and there may not be room in some classes for drop ins.

Yoga at your business, Private Yoga parties We can come to you, or host it in our yoga/massage/dance studio.

Consider booking a massage with Hiyala before or after your yoga class.  Even just a 15 min neck and shoulder massage can make a world of difference!
