These classes are great for people with joint problems as we are mostly on the ground. Pilates builds strength in the abs, arms and legs,as well as increasing flexibility, and endurance to create a healthy, balanced and strong body. We use pilates rings, resistance bands and large balls.
You may be asked to purchase a set of cords and /or a resistance band for about $10 each.
** If you have had an injury or are recovering from illness we recommend at least one private session with Hiyala before attending this class
Wednesdays 10-11am at Peace church (5050 hodgeson Rd). This is a semi private class and cost is as follows:
If you can commit to 4 classes in row: $18 per class or $16 for seniors/low income
If you want to come whenever you are able: $20 per class ($18 for seniors/low income.
Please arrive 15 min early the day of your first class to fill out the form.
Hiyala also incorporates some Pilates into her yoga classes.
